EPIC Irish Emigration Museum, CHQ Building

Céad Míle Fáilte! We look forward to welcoming you to the 15th International Association for Paratuberculosis Colloquium 2020 Welcome reception! We have an immersive and unforgettable evening planned in EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum. The influence the Irish have had around the globe is impressive. EPIC tells the dramatic story of the people who have left the island of Ireland, how these people spread around the globe and how they influenced and shaped the world. Set in the stunning, restored vaults of the CHQ building, guests of the ICP 2020 Welcome reception will enjoy an award winning interactive high tech digital experience.  

 

The Welcome reception begins at 19.30 and will include a 45 minute guided tours of the museum along with canapes and a drinks reception.

 

Please note that attendance at the welcome reception is included in your registration fee, however you must indicate at the time of registration if you wish to attend.

Excursion to the Ochard Centre

Ochard Centre, Wicklow

The organisation of the 15th International Association of Paratuberculosis Colloquium 2020 Conference presents to you an excursion with the opportunity to learn more about the History & Heritage of the farm of the Hayden's family, Baileys and more!

The Ochard Centre dairy herd of 175 cows produce over 1.2 million liters of milk annually for the making of Bailey's Irish Cream. Since 2002, the Hayden family farm has been the Spiritual Home and "International Guest Centre" of Baileys and fans from all over the world come here to experience the secrets behind the world's most famous cream liqueur. 

 

Included in this excursion is:

  • A welcome by Joe Hayden to the Orchard Centre Farm.

  • Formal presentation by Joe on the History & Heritage of his family farm and include an overview of Animal Health Plan and the Dairy Farming Sustainability to include environmental control and carbon footprint measurements and reductions.

  • Technical Farm Tour to view grass based production system and focus on quality values for production of cream for Baileys. 

  • Baileys Tasting Workshop.

  • Hurling Skills Workshop. 

A minimum of 25 people is necessary to let this excursion go ahead.If the minimum numbers are not met, the tour will be cancelled and the excursion will be refunded. Please note that the excursion is not included as part of the registration fee and the cost to attend is

€ 40.00, which can be booked at the time of registration.

The program for the excursion is as follows:

13:00 - Departure from Dublin Castle with grab and go lunch bags.

15:00 - The start of the tour.

17:30 - Departure from the Orchard Castle.

19:30 - Arrival in Dublin Castle.  

Gala Dinner

15th International Association for Paratuberculosis Colloquium 2020 Delegates attending the Gala Dinner can be assured of an unforgettable evening of excellent food, fine wine, and an evening of cultural entertainment that only Dublin can offer! All of this in an atmosphere of engagement among colleagues will no doubt mean the ICP 2020 Gala Dinner will be one to remember for many years to come!

 

The Gala Dinner will take place in the Presidents Hall at the 18th Century building of the Law Society of Ireland in the heart of the city centre. Please note that the Gala Dinner is not included as part of the registration fee and the cost to attend is € 50.00, which can be booked at the time of registration.
